Challenges
GloPaw set out to make pet safety work without the usual weak spots. Existing options fell short in four ways:

Trackers Stop at the Garden Fence: An ordinary Bluetooth tracker loses a pet as soon as it is a street or a field away.

SIMs, Subscriptions and Flat Batteries: Many trackers need a SIM, mobile coverage and a monthly fee, and stop working when a plan lapses or the battery dies.

Finders Can’t Reach the Owner: An engraved tag goes out of date, and a microchip needs a vet with a scanner. Most people who find a pet are neighbours with just a phone.

Scattered Pet Information: Contact details, vaccinations, medical notes and the nearest vet were spread across different places, just when they mattered most.
Our Solution
GloPaw combines product design, smart hardware and a mobile app into one connected pet-safety system. The collar helps you find your pet; the tag helps the finder reach you.
Bluetooth Low Energy finds your dog around the house, and a LoRa radio keeps reporting to your home gateway from a village away. It needs no SIM, no subscription and no mobile signal.
A finder holds any modern phone to the tag and sees your contact details, your pet’s identity, vaccinations and medical notes. No app, no account, no battery.
Only the registered owner can send the collar commands or rewrite the tag. The NFC tag’s dynamic-key authentication is registered with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA 20 2025 102 267.2), and the collar’s encrypted mesh routing is filed (DPMA 20 2026 105 191.8).
If another owner’s tag passes your lost dog, the location comes back to you automatically and privately.
Pair the collar with one press, watch gateway readings as they land, write the NFC tag and find nearby vets, groomers and shops, with separate roles for owners, vets and groomers. App screens are still in progress.

Distance and Warmer-or-Colder: The app shows very close, nearby, far or out of range, and the signal reads as you walk, so you know whether to search the house or the street.

Audible Finder and Location History: Sound the tag for the last few metres, and see everywhere it has been heard, with the time.

Asleep by Default, Topped Up by Solar: The collar wakes only to transmit, solar panels on the strap recharge the cell, and USB-C charging comes with a low-battery warning.

One-Time Pairing: Set up once with a single button press, and the collar connects on its own from then on.

Update Any Time: Change your number, move house or add a vaccination from the app. The tag is rewritten in place, unlike an engraved tag.

Silent Until Tapped: The NFC tag transmits nothing at rest, so nobody can read your pet from across the street.

Platform Roadmap (in development): Smart zones and geofencing, AI-assisted health insights, vet coordination and digital EU pet passport support.
